Frequently Asked Questions

  • Will the mobile groomer need my homes electricity or water?

Not at all! My grooming van is equipped with a generator, battery power bank, fresh water reservoir and grey water tank for used water. It is a rare occurrence that I may need to borrow your garden hose to refill my tank but this does not happen often.

  • Can I watch while my pet is being groomed?

This is a very common question. However, my insurance does not allow it.

  • Why does mobile grooming cost more than at a traditional salon?

Mobile grooming is designed to offer convenience to busy pet parents. There are a couple reasons that it costs slightly more than a traditional salon. The main reason is the gas, a van of its size takes a considerable amount of gas.

  • Can I provide my own shampoo?

Absolutely! We just ask that it is in its original container and that it is not expired.

  • Is the water you use to bathe my pet warm or cold?

Warm water, I have a water heater in the van.

  • Do you offer a discount for homes with multiple pets?

Yes, for homes with multiple pets I only charge the one travel fee. For homes with three or more pets I do not charge a travel fee.

  • Can I see your Grooming van?

Absolutely! I would be more than happy to give you a tour! It is quite a wonderful machine!

  • How long does grooming take?

This depends on your pet! Breed, size, coat condition, type of haircut, etc.

  • Do you offer evening/ weekend appointments?

Sure do! The only day I am closed is on Sundays.

  • Do I need to be home while you groom my dog?

No, many of my clients work and have busy schedules. I just need a way to get into the home such as a key or garage code. I do require the owner to be home for the first visit to sign new client paperwork, it also allows me to meet the pet and to discuss any concerns.

  • Does my pet need to be up to date on their vaccinations?

YES! By law your dog or cat needs to be up to date on their rabies vaccination. I require a copy of your pet’s vaccinations and your vets name and number for your pets file.

  • How often should my pet be groomed?

Again, this depends on your pet. I can give you a better idea once I meet your pet. Though a pet should never go more than three months without getting nails or ears done!

  • What if I need to cancel my appointment?

LIFE HAPPENS! I am a wife, a mother and I also am human. I get that things come up! I do ask that you give me 24 hours of notice so that I can fill your spot. If you do not give me proper notice you may be charged a cancellation fee.

  • What types of payment do you accept?

I accept all forms of payment! However, we do prefer cash or check. Due to the incredible fees on card reading services, we do charge a processing fee of $3.00 when you use your debit or credit card.

  • How do I schedule?

Easy! You can call, text, email, or even Facebook!

  • Do you operate in all seasons?

Sure do! My van is fully converted for all seasons!

  • Do you accept special needs pets?

Of course! I groom pets with all kinds of ailments and special needs.

  • What are your hours?

I groom Monday- Saturday by appointment. I take appointments as early as 7am and as late as 7pm. I am also very flexible, if you need something earlier or later than those times I can always make special arrangements.
